"For some of you who don't know: This email belongs to a series that I called for now "Personal Philosophies", most of them are what I've learnt, some tips, and a kinda like a diary, you could say. The reason you don't see this often/ or pretty often, because these are "letters" that are kinda like only come when the artists have inspiration or muse. If you don't see it, cuz I dont have inspiration yet. hahah"

#48: Product First or Market First?

As we started online business, or from very beginning stage: “thinking about starting online business”. We probably all have this, wondering “what/which products should we promote/ or sell”. Back in a day, this theory probably only apply to online business and digital product, but thanks to Tiktok, and Instagram,…these platforms make pretty much of your whatever kind of business CAN work. So today’s I hope this can somehow clarify or clear of some the road block to your online business successfully!

ps. this post/article/or letters/ or emails, it really depending on where you are reading this. haha Anyway, just a head up that this one might use strong/ or violence/ or some words that you might find offensive. If you are uncomfortable with this, please don’t read this.

Product First or Market First

Should we choose which product to sell, to promote? Or should we market when we don’t even what kind of biz we’re gonna do?

First of all, in pretty much of every posts/emails or letters ones, I will try to remember to include things like this: Now, I’m talking all of these not as some multi-figure, or something, if you asked me, then it prob total from beg to now not even 1k yet, but haha i spend more than i earn so im not so sure, haha. These are from my personal thoughts. From time to time, I got the I so called “bad” emails, I mean, bad or good is really depend on each person, but for me, the starting point is if you are not being polite, then don’t expect me to be one. Treat others how you want to be treated. Okay, this phrase I might not express “educated” right hahah. I think the right way to think is that others treat you like sht, doesn’t mean you don’t have manner and treats others like sht too. Okay, if you don’t get it, I have other way to express, but some of you might don’t like it, cuz it’s so strong, but it’s only what I got, but if it made you feel better or funnier haha, then you can think it as cat, or something else. My example is “they are acting like an anime, doesn’t mean you are animal”. Well…I’m pretty sure some of you get it some of you don’t. This don’t really relate to the what Im going to write at all. It just kinda my style of “disclaimer”.

Secondly, some of you even might say “this gal know how to piss people off” hhaha. I know, thanks.

I gotta say I got some people dont agree with me, that’s life!!! I DON’T WANT all people to agree with me, because those who agree and stay with me, omg, I gotta say, I read their feedback, and sometimes even emails, sometimes I feel so much love, it’s like they almost are my family! Those notes are super sweet!!! Some of them even help me to fight like when somebody send me bad emails, and I tell the whole world, and some of them would be like are they still doing that? Are you feeling okay? Im not gonna brag or lie about this. This is probably the best thing happened to me when I started Hello, Uniques beside building my dream of freedom in income and others!

okay, sorry (not sorry), too much bad and good hahah, let’s back to why you are here!

I mean from watching people who you admire, people you are following, people are doing the biz that you want to do too! People started ahead of you! You can learn from them!

And from my watching, the answer is prob “market first”.

But personally, I really wanna say both.

I said both cuz you gotta know where you gonna head, what you wanna do, basically, your niche.

But cuz im the person who want-to-do-it-all, and like-it-all, then I guess alot of learning gotta do. Haha

Market First if you had no idea

I mean you are not the only one who don’t know what you want to do, what you will do in future. The answer is that start whatever feel like you most now, cuz at the end, if you want to change, it changed. I have heard so many do this at the beginning, and they end up at totally different things. Now i know if i dont clarify this, some of you prob thinks change mind all the time, or blah blah… hahha but what I mean is that we never know what we will end up, and it’s alright, things change, and we just change things till we are satisfied and happy!

I said market first, cuz by now you prob know and have seen that Instagram can make money right? I dont know how yet, but anyway, I have seen some people who have crazy high views, followers, but they haven’t monetize yet! Or send out a freebie without collecting email address! Now if they do this cuz they have their own reasons, then I got nothing to say, but as someone who in this onl biz world, I just felt like “ughhh…they are wasting their freebies to collect people’s email!” Hahah.

Now this might not apply to every industry or niche.

But let’s say this case for example,

You dont know which product to sell, then this time is a good time you should go to google and search “affiliate program + (something you like or do in the freetime)”.

Promoting someone else product is a good step for beginners.

Of course, you can always get things like MRR (master-resell-right), or PLR (Private Label Rights),…

but by promoting yourself, or putting yourself outside in the audience, or your brand! Then you can eventually know what your audience wants, like, need…

If Product First?

Now, when Im writing this one, I would never say you can not choose products first, it’s depend on different people. I dont like to be on social or putting myself everywhere, so I choose product first. Now the funny things is that i think at the beginning I dont even know what kind of products or what I should create! I dont even know plr or mrr at that time. All i think prob how to and what. And then try to perfect it.

But writing this got me thinking that my first product was something that I want to head to in the future! And the second one was something that I was so frustrated for us beginner to this online business world, and listen so many things, and none of them sounds like really helping you.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the answer hahah for this is prob depending on different people on my point of view. Some people spark something from reading the title, some people get out of something from reading this, even a tiny one, some people might even just get a laugh from this. No matter what it is! It sounds like a good news to me! Cuz I successfully made you get out of something even just a tiny one!
